Queer Cuts for a Cause

Queer Cuts for a Cause was an event put on by the community, for the community. Stylists gave sliding scale cuts to benefit local causes.

  • established brand and it’s mission/vision/values

  • selected LGBTQ+ beneficiaries for event proceeds

  • recruited hair stylists to donate time and talent to each event

  • contacted co-ops to donate snacks for participants to enjoy

  • partnered with venues to donate space for the event

  • contacted musicians to entertain participants as they waited

  • led group of 20 volunteers to check in participants, maintain snack table, cut hair, take sliding scale donations, and help setup/tear down
