Creating My Adventure

Y’all. Would you believe me if I told you I started manifesting the first stop of my adventure years ago? Like before the thought of jumping around the country consciously entered my head…

Welp! I just realized last night that I brought the first leg of my journey into existence via a collage I made almost 2 years ago.

For the past 14 years, I’ve lived in a major city. I’ve called Chicago, San Francisco, and Minneapolis home and during most of those 14 years, I felt I was exactly where I was meant to be. I met a ton of new people, experienced so many new experiences, and learned a lot about what I’m capable of. And! The past few years, I’ve been yearning for a quieter life. Less people, noise, traffic and more nature, open space, and quiet.

One afternoon about 2 years ago I pulled out my magazine, scissors, and tape and got to collaging. This is one of the methods I use to manifest. I also use journaling, painting, meditation, and more. I flipped through the magazine and looked for pictures that most closely embodied that peaceful space I was dreaming of. This is what I came up with.

I have never lived near mountains or farms, but these are the images that spoke to my heart.

I put my collage in a frame and have kept it in a place that I see every day as it makes me smile :)

Fast forward to about a month ago when I decided to fully commit to my adventure. I felt a pull West, but wasn’t sure where exactly. I didn’t put pressure on myself to decide on the location. I chose to allow it to come to me. And it did.

At first it was subtle. Colorado. hmmm I went there as a kid with my dad and brother. I don’t know much about it, but it was on my mind. I know a few people who live in the state but most are in or near the bigger cities or I didn’t know where they were.

I pulled out my phone to look at Airbnb and see what was out there. Soooo many cute places. I saved some in my wishlist and started to see a pattern of the area I was finding places I liked. Later that day, I was having a conversation with one of the people I know in CO (love to you!) and found out that 3 of the places I put on my wishlist were 30 minutes from where she lives. Before this convo, I didn’t know where in CO she lived let alone that it was almost the exact place I was being drawn to. A week later I officially booked one of the places on my wishlist.

Fast forward to last night when I was getting ready for bed. The collage currently lives on my bedroom dresser. I hadn’t thought about my adventure all day, but as I was taking out my earring I happened to glance at the collage and a realization came over me. I ran and grabbed my phone and Google searched images of the town I’ll be staying in. Y’all… it’s soooooooo incredibly similar it’s not even funny! Or it is hilarious! It’s all of the things! hahahaha *I won’t be sharing the photo I found or location until after I’ve left that Airbnb for my privacy and safety. Thank you for understanding!

So. When I’ve mentioned in earlier blog posts that I’m creating my adventure via manifestation and synchronicities and flow, this is what I’m talking about. This is just a small taste of what I know is to come. I’m just getting started.

With love and joy, Whit
